Job Summary:
The Automotive Service Manager at Jim Falk Automotive Group in Kahului, Hawaii is responsible for managing and leading the service department at our dealership. This individual will oversee a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry, with experience in service management and proven leadership skills.Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a base salary ranging from $150,000 to $300,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, this position also offers commission opportunities based on performance. The compensation package also includes benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts on vehicle purchases.Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the service department by overseeing daily operations, setting performance goals, and providing guidance and support to team members.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Monitor and analyze department performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to increase efficiency and profitability.
- Hire, train, and evaluate service department staff, providing ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure a knowledgeable and skilled team.
- Maintain strong communication with other departments, such as sales and finance, to coordinate and streamline service processes.
- Manage inventory and ensure proper maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for both employees and customers.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and make recommendations for improvement to the dealership owner.Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with at least 2 years in a service management role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent customer service skills and a focus on providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Proficiency in automotive technology and service processes, with a keen understanding of industry trends and developments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be willing to work weekends and evenings, as needed.EEOC statement:
