Role Summary/Purpose
The Assistant Vice President of Advertising Surveillance is responsible for managing key strategic client portfolio engagements to provide consultation and coordination of compliant advertising for client-initiated collateral across multiple channels. Reporting to the VP, Advertising and Branding, the individual will work with internal client teams as well as directly with clients to facilitate advertising compliance education, facilitate legal approvals, identify client performance trends, and manage resolution of advertising defects in a timely manner. The AVP, Advertising Surveillance will also be encouraged to apply a lens of continuous improvement and to look for opportunities to introduce process efficiencies and enhancements in collaboration with the peers on the team and with cross functional stakeholder groups including legal, compliance and risk.

Essential Responsibilities:
Partner with key client teams to assess client needs, business goals and identify consumer financing advertising opportunities.
Work directly with external key client leadership teams to manage compliance and effectiveness related efforts for consumer financing advertising and advertising monitoring.
Partner with legal on client performance reviews related to advertising compliance/effectiveness.
Leverage domain expertise by owning and managing advertising guidelines related to advertising effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
Leverage advertising assessment data and reports to develop trend analysis for clients and to prioritize and target resolution of defects.
Proactively identify and suggest process enhancement opportunities to enable increased efficiencies and reduction of client advertising defects.
Partner with internal audit and risk teams to manage risk levels related to advertising post press program.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor\'s Degree or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 8+ years marketing in credit card or financial services industry
5+ years of marketing/communications/advertising or brand-building experience with 3+ years involving planning and/or project management
Desired Characteristics:
MBA with a concentration in marketing or mass communications
4 years of credit card or consumer marketing experience within or for retail, financial services
Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing marketing, communications and advertising programs, defining goals, plans and manage implementations
Process improvement experience
Demonstrated ability to project manage and deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcome
Collaborative with ability to take the lead and guide cross functionally, team oriented-ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional, and global team members
Demonstrated self-starter, facilitation, and negotiation skills in driving closure
Experience collaborating across multiple levels, functions, sales, retail partners
Excellent oral and written communication analytical and digital reporting skills.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months\xe2\x80\x99 time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months\xe2\x80\x99 time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don\xe2\x80\x99t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
