Baler/Forklift Operator

FULL-TIME

$20.44/hr

- Safely operate forklifts, squeeze box and clamp truck, resin handling system and the off-loading of resin cars, pallet inverter, auto palletizer, and stretch wrap machines. This includes the changing and maintenance of propane/batteries and performance of daily PM checklist.
- Works toward and maintains an accurate orderly inventory by properly warehousing all materials.
- Assigns manpower based on production needs on a daily basis.
- Immediate reporting of incidents resulting in injury, product, or property damage to supervision and completion of initial written incident reports involving warehouse employees.
- Provides training for shift team members and ensure all team members\xe2\x80\x99 training remains current.
- Assess\' and troubleshoot warehouse issues that occur during shift and seek resources as needed to resolve. Assume responsibilities for out bound shipments during off shifts when Traffic Coordinator is not on duty.
- Works in a safe manner and assure co-workers work in a safe manner, responsible for conducting headcount during emergencies and reporting to safety coordinator.
- Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employee must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of AIB/5S and other company standards.
- Strives to clearly understand customer requirements and delivers results to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Ability and responsibility to stop any process that is not meeting food safety requirements.
- Ability and responsibility to stop any process that is not meeting customer quality requirements.
- Has the responsibility to handle hazardous and other chemical waste in a manner that complies with GPI procedures and is consistent with training received. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the proper accumulating, marking, containerizing, handling, storing, shipping, and preparing of records and shipping papers/manifests for hazardous and other non-hazardous chemical wastes that will help ensure compliance with Tennessee Rule 1200-1-11 PHL-01 WS-01 WS-TC
Schedule

Shift start: 7:00PM
Shift length: 12 hours
7p to 7a, (2,2, 3,3)

Qualifications
  • Must pass drug screen (cannabis excluded)
  • Must pass background check
  • Can lift 25 lbs
  • Must be at least 18+ years old
A forklift license is required. Must be proficient at warehouse-related SAP applications and paperwork documentation procedures for the movement of materials and be able to complete the forms efficiently and accurately. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to work efficiently and appropriately with peers, managers, vendors, and customers.
