A fast-growing Law Firm is looking to add a Bankruptcy Paralegal to its growing team. The Candidate must have 5 years of Bankruptcy expereince in Real estate, or Financial Corporate. salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of all elements of evolving bankruptcy case and knowledge management systems.
  • Meet and confer with attorneys, clients to discuss cases, projects, and ongoing client development initiatives.
  • Draft legal documents including routine retention and fee applications; draft orders; prepare exhibits; file motions and pleadings in accordance with judicial procedures.
  • Prepare and file proofs of claim and assist with the claim\xe2\x80\x99s reconciliation process.
  • Review and monitor case dockets to identify, summarize, and circulate relevant pleadings and applications.
  • Manage hearing preparation and support, including scheduling of telephonic appearances and preparation of hearing binders.
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case information, which may include depositions, pleadings, exhibits and other items.
  • Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation.
  • Develop and maintain time records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
  • Actively participate in weekly team meetings.
