Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Front End Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently managing transactions and maintaining a clean and organized front-end area. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and your knowledge of food safety practices will contribute to a positive customer experience in our donut and cafe shop.

Barista:

Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Operate coffee equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders. Handle cash and credit card transactions. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Decorator:

Responsible for creatively and aesthetically decorating donuts with various toppings, frostings, and fillings, ensuring each donut meets quality standards and customer expectations by applying artistic skills to create visually appealing designs while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Float:

A flexible employee who fills in for absent employees or provides support in different areas of the business. This position is looking for someone willing to float between finishing/decorating and help with the front end/barista/drive through. ?"?

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders, ensuring a friendly atmosphere. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, including Aloha POS, to process transactions accurately. Manage cash handling procedures, including balancing cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts. Maintain knowledge of menu items and daily specials to provide informed recommendations to customers. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques. Keep the front end clean and organized, including the cafe area, dining space, and checkout stations. Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting low inventory levels. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours while maintaining high standards of customer care.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Knowledge of retail math concepts is beneficial for managing inventory and sales reports. Understanding of food safety standards and practices related to food handling is essential. Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing help and support to customers. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
