BARISTAThe Leonardo seeks a Barista for our Salt Bistro cafe to join our team and mission to fuse science, technology, and art in experiences that inspire creativity and innovation in people of all ages and backgrounds.

• Pay Rate: $15 per hour plus tips
• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 12:30-6:00pm (Total: 27.5 hours per week)
• Reports to: Director of Hospitality & Sales

WHAT YOU\'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY \xe2\x80\x94 As Barista of the Salt Bistro, you\'ll:

• Greet customers in a friendly manner and take food and drink orders
• Prepare and serve beverages and food items
• Operate cash register, including opening and closing
• Maintain inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs
• Keep work area sanitary and organized.
• Evaluate and modify processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
• Work to attract new customers and expand the menu
• Reset spaces and cleaning as needed
• Attend and participate in workshops, training sessions, and other meetings as needed
• Additional responsibilities as needed

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED:

• Age 21+
• In possession of (or ability to obtain) Sips & Tips certification and Food Handler\xe2\x80\x99s certification
• Ability to provide friendly and professional service to customers and guests
• Punctual, dependable, and proactive
• Quick to problem-solve and increase efficiency
• Conscientious about policies and procedures
• Ability to carry out written and oral instructions
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Previous experience in customer service
• Previous barista experience preferred, but not required
