It is a complex concept that requires expert execution across multiple business segments including food and beverage, marketing, dog recreation, retail and others. SUMMARY The Bartender is one of the most important roles at Bar K, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of drinks for our guests. You are often the team member who will interact most with many of our guests and can have a significant impact on a guest\xe2\x80\x99s experience. A successful Bartender will be friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about all aspects of our menu and operations. Bartenders will report to the Bar Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide an energetic, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism. Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of the proper steps of service. Offer polite, professional, and courteous guest service. Communicate effectively with co-workers and guests. Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, bottled or draft beer according to company guidelines and recipes. Take beverage orders from serving staff or from guests. Complete all side work as assigned. Be well-versed in the products to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items. Check guests\xe2\x80\x99 identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption. Present and encourage current promotions to guests. Accurately record and account for all items ordered and secure payment from guest. EXPECTED JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS At least 1-2 years\' experience with bartending at a high-volume bar and//or restaurant. Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments. Formal bartending training preferred. Must meet state legal age requirements. Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred. Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors. Alcohol awareness certification and//or food service permit or valid health//food handler card as required by local or state government agency. Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently. May be required to work nights, weekends, and//or holidays. Must Love Dogs! Other: Must speak fluent English Frequently standing up or moving within and outside of the facility Handling food, objects, products and utensils effectively and safely Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds (bar ware, boxes, bottles, etc.) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Full and part-time positions are available.
