Through the passion of our specialists, we continue to treat every patient with care, compassion and respect, while providing affordable and accessible services.Job SummaryThe Mobile Crisis Clinician rapidly responds 24/7 to requests for crisis interventions in the community. Referral sources include health care providers, family members, self-referral, police, and other community members. Performs telephone triage, mobile crisis assessments, risk assessments, de-escalation, and safety planning. Works with Emergency Medical Services facilitating referrals to emergency department, community mental/substance abuse treatment and other linkages in the community. The Mobile Crisis Clinician covers the towns of Meriden and Wallingford and serves individuals 18+ years of age.This role is considered an essential employee and is required to provide coverage of holidays on a rotating basis and may be required to stay for mandatory shift coverage. May respond to calls with other community partners including but not limited to police, fire, EMT, health department.This position is for our mobile crisis team covering Meriden and Wallingford. Position is second shift with flexibility to modify schedule to include first or second shift on weekends based on candidates availability for 40 hours per week. Candidate should have experience working in crisis assessment, able to work independently, and have sound clinical decision making skills. Shift differential eligible position.Job Responsibilities * Provides comprehensive initial and ongoing assessment of individuals in crisis in the community with special focus on risk assessment, mental status exams, safety planning and both personal and community safety needs.
