Clive Behavioral Health

Clive Behavioral Health (CBH) is a 134-bed licensed inpatient behavioral health hospital, operating on two campuses in Iowa. Clive Behavioral Health West opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis. Care at this location focuses on crisis management, stabilization and development of a plan to return to community living with, if needed, supportive outpatient services and community services and resources. Clive Behavioral Health Des Moines is a 34-bed inpatient location operated by CBH on the MercyOne Des Moines campus. Care at this location will be for adults experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis.

Qualifications

Behavioral Health Technician

The Behavioral Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from preschool through geriatrics. All MHT\xe2\x80\x99s work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). MHT\xe2\x80\x99s may be required to work weekends, overtime and have flexible hours.

Qualifications

Education: Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline highly desirable.

Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Required License/Certification: Successful completion of Management Aggressive Behavior Training, Service Excellence Training and CPR certification required. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation. Current Mandatory Reporter for Adult/Child.

Work Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm, Rotating weekends (24 Hours)
