The Benefits Administrator is expected to provide the highest level of customer service to employees and maintain excellent relationships with vendors. This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of all benefit and wellness programs, including Health, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, Flexible Spending, Supplemental programs, COBRA, leave management and other employee health and wellness programs.Performs other duties in alignment with the 2019 - 2024 COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision to Move Every Life Forward.This Position is Responsible For:

  • Reconciles and audits health and supplemental benefit insurance vendor invoices to ensure accurate payments, credits and adjustments
  • Provides customer service support to internal and external customers on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
  • Performs daily benefit processing in an accurate and timely manner including; enrollments, COBRA, terminations, status changes, beneficiary designations and audits, short- and long-term disability, accident insurance and other vendor portals
  • Utilizes COTA's HRIS system to create plans, enter & maintain employee benefit selection information, and track & report employee arrearages
  • Participates and leads in benefit and wellness educational opportunities including; new hire orientation, open enrollment, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
At Minimum You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources or related field
  • Five (5) years of benefit and/or related business experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist certification preferred
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
