Summary:
The System Benefits Analyst participates in the design, development, and analysis of benefit policies and plans for the organization. This role maintains continuous review of various benefits to ensure equity with competitive market and current benefit trends. The System Benefits Analyst ensures benefit programs and their administration are compliant with plan documents and statutory regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Benefit Consulting: Provides administration of assigned benefit programs including but not limited to managing health and welfare benefit programs, retirement plans, disability, workers\xe2\x80\x99 compensation, and leaves of absence program.
2. Communication: Provides direction and feedback to vendors in the context of administering employee benefit plans. Conducts presentations as a part of manager and employee outreach, and serves as a content expert for the assigned benefit programs. May draft and edit policies and communications related to benefit programs.
3. Benefit Programs Enrollment: Participates in various aspects of the annual benefits open enrollment process.
4. Consulting and Collaboration: Provides guidance, direction and reference materials to management, vendors and human resources staff regarding government regulations, policies and procedures as they pertain to the operation of UNC Health Care\xe2\x80\x99s employee benefit programs.
5. Project Management: Actively participates in projects designed to increase efficiency and promote customer satisfaction, including open enrollment, RFP processes and program changes, and software upgrades and rollouts.

Education Requirements:

Professional Experience Requirements:
\xe2\x97\x8f If a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree: No prior experience required.
\xe2\x97\x8f If an Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree: Four (4) years of relevant experience
\xe2\x97\x8f If a High School diploma or GED: Eight (8) years of relevant experience.
