OverviewThe part time (15-20 hours per week) Community Health Worker (CHW) will assist with the development and testing of an online training program focused on Alzheimer\xe2\x80\x99s and Dementia for CHWs across Utah. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Bilingual Community Health Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and have a strong background in community health work, online education, and research. This role involves assisting in the development and testing of our online Alzheimer\'s and dementia training program, ensuring it meets the needs of Spanish-speaking communities.ACA Variable Position. US Work Authorization is Required.Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive training modules on Alzheimer\'s and dementia care.
  • Conduct research to identify best practices and culturally relevant content for the training program.
  • Translate and adapt training materials to ensure they are accessible and effective for Spanish-speaking community health workers.
  • Facilitate online training sessions and provide support to participants throughout the program.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from participants to improve the training program.
  • Assist in the evaluation of the program\xe2\x80\x99s effectiveness and impact on community health workers\xe2\x80\x99 knowledge and skills.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience as a Community Health Worker, with a strong understanding of community health principles and practices.
  • Experience with online education and training programs either as a student or instructor.
  • Research skills, including the ability to assist with recruiting CHWs to pilot test our training program.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for online education and communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification or formal training as a Community Health Worker.
  • Familiarity with culturally specific health challenges and solutions within Spanish-speaking communities.
  • Experience working with Alzheimer\'s and dementia patients or their caregivers.
