Compensation: Approximately $18.59 - $21.55 per hour. All individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate's experience and internal equity.

Overview of Role:



Enroll qualified patients into payment programs as expediently as possible, assist the billing department in establishing patients in payment programs and provide pro-active support to the medical team in creating a great customer experience for the patient.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




Conduct financial screening and documentation gathering for patients to determine qualification for payment programs. Compile and maintain necessary financial records for all payment programs. Register patients into the Management Information/Automated Billing System and update any changes in patient status. Maintain basic knowledge of various programs pertaining to Clinica reimbursement including but not limited to Medicaid, Medicare, CICP, CHP+, and third party payers. Perform eligibility screenings, paperwork and follow up. Deliver Medicaid packets to Department of Social Services. Verify insurance on a daily basis. Knowledge of Clinica Patient Portal Enrollment. Serves in the Clinica Patient Portal Superuser role (reference Superuser job description). Complete and pass a biennial competency assessment. Serve as support staff to front desk when necessary.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:




Education and Experience:





High school diploma or GED required.

One year experience within a medical facility preferred.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:





Fluent in written and spoken Spanish a must.

Knowledge of Management Information/Automated Billing systems preferred.

Ability to work under pressure with sensitivity to low income, ethnic minority community.
