Summary

We are looking for a qualified and loving Bilingual Teacher (English / Spanish) to work at our Arlington location with our Pre-K students. The classrooms have a Spanish teacher and an assistant teacher, together you will make a dynamic team!

Duties

Responsibilities

:

Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students, including whole group (co-teaching) and small-group learning. Observe and develop each child help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional conflicts Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum to ensure kindergarten readiness Track children's progress and report to parents through daily written communication, twice yearly parent teacher conferences, and semesterly progress reports Collaborate with other educators Contribute productively to the school as a whole Participate in in-service and staff development activities and staff meetings as required or assigned Attend and participate in established traditional school-sponsored activities (i.e. back-to-school night, recitals, and other activities customarily attended by classroom teachers and/or faculty members), which may be outside of regular school hours Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Skills

:

Proven English and Spanish proficiency. Proven skills and knowledge about Teaching English (English grammar, spelling, semantics, vocabulary, etc.). Understanding the principles of child development and preschool educational methods. Good communication and instructional skills.

Education:

BA in Early Childhood Education or similar degree in teaching CDA and further graduate work
Ability to have transcripts transferred
