We are seeking BIM and Civil3D Specialist who will work on New York City infrastructure design projects at our office in Lower Manhattan. NV5s New York City Office operates on a four-day work week and we work on a wide variety of public and private infrastructure projects.

BIM and Civil3D Specialist is closely aligned with the Project Managers/Teams that are delivering local infrastructure projects in BIM. Selected candidate will be a partner to, and act as a technical resource for the multi-disciplinary project teams, providing guidance and facilitating support for project related design activities.

Responsibilities

• Support local engineering teams and the project Manager.
• Carrying out and coordinating technology related activities associated with the use of BIM and Civil3D.
• Develop templates, workflows, and organization of BIM and Civil3D assets.
• Works with local Design leaders to implement the project-based BIM Execution Plan and provide BIM production support for all disciplines.
• Able to follow project BIM strategy, and perform clash detection, and client deliverable coordination.
• Perform Project Delivery to ensure compliance with the project standards and work processes.
• Responsible for day-to-day project support on office project, schedule and availability allowing.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Autodesk BIM software including Civil3D, Navisworks, and the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Additionally, proficiency with Bentley BIM software including Microstation, OpenRoad Designer, OpenBridge Designer, and ProjectWise Managed Workspace is a plus.
• Substantial professional years experience with Autodesk software in a professional setting required and with Bentley platform a Plus.
• Professional expertise in a Design and Production environment required.
• Proficiency with editing software (Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering preferred, degree in AEC or building trades required.
• Familiarity with NYCDDC CADD standards preferred.
• Understand project workflows from preliminary design through construction documentation.
• Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple tasks and projects within scheduled duration.

The pay range for this position in New York City is $75,000.00- $115,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
