The Membership Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Member Services Supervisor and is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations, including exceptional customer service and care, sales, retention, database management, billing assistance, clerical duties, promotions, and special events.To support a healthy lifestyle, employees enjoy the use of our full-service facilities at Millberry and Bakar Fitness Centers.Together, we make life better for those who work, teach, and study at UCSF.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.   • Minimum 2 years customer service or sales experience
  • High school graduation and four years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Outgoing and friendly with a passion for fitness and exercise; ability to motivate and encourage others on the benefits of exercise
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with deadlines in a customer service setting under minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Demonstrated skill necessary to collect, organize and disseminate information upon request
  • Ability to make sound judgments
  • Ability to conduct presentations to large groups
