Job Summary:

Union Park Automotive is seeking a dedicated and reliable Parts Runner/Shop Help to support our busy service department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing and delivering automotive parts, assisting with shop maintenance, and ensuring that all service operations run smoothly. This role requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, restocking shelves, and organizing parts in the shop to ensure easy access and efficient workflow.

Shop Assistance:

Support technicians and service staff by preparing and organizing tools, equipment, and parts needed for repairs and maintenance tasks.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service when interacting with vendors, customers, and internal staff, addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.

Shop Cleanliness:

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shop environment, including cleaning work areas, and disposing of waste materials.

Documentation:

Accurately complete and file paperwork related to parts deliveries, inventory levels, and other relevant documentation.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff members.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Previous experience in an automotive industry or similar role preferred but not required.

Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Communication:

Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with team members, customers, and vendors.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks as needed.

Driver's License:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position Work environment includes both office and shop settings. May require driving and physical labor.
