Responsibilities:

As a Break Nurse you will work 8-hour shifts, relieving other registered nurses during break and meal periods - providing essential coverage across multiple units. You\'ll have the unique opportunity to focus on the continuum of care of numerous patients, all while part of a team that emphasizes professional and personal growth.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate of approved nursing program required
• Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• Consistent demonstration of competent clinical nursing practice proficiency required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• The following is required for departments: 04-87301 Centralized Flex Staffing; 01-87200 Nursing Admin; 01-87206 FH Nursing Admin; 01-87300 Nurse Float-PR Only. Clovis: 02-87200 Nursing Admin; 02-87300 Nurse Float-PR Only.

o ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position

o PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support Certification required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position

CHS HealthStream Course

• The following is required for departments: 04-87301 Centralized Flex Staffing; 01-87200 Nursing Admin; 01-87206 FH Nursing Admin; 01-87300 Nurse Float-PR Only. Clovis: 02-87200 Nursing Admin; 02-87300 Nurse Float-PR Only.

o BAC - Basic Arrhythmia Course required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position

o NIHSS - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Exam required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position
