Where you will work:

This position will be based in Astound's Chicago, IL office, and would be an in office/field role.

A Day in the Life of the Broadband Technician:

Residential install and disconnects (data, video, phone) on customer premises
Ensure/record correct RF and signal levels within specifications*
Communication with leadership and dispatch as needed*
Customer education*
Operate company vehicle in safe and responsible manner*
Other duties as assigned*

What You Bring to the Table:

Experience: None required, this is an entry level position*
Experience in problem-solving, time management, and basic computer skills*
Strong customer service skills*
Strong verbal and written communication skills*
Ability to use a ladder, hand and power tools*
Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team*
Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record compliant with the company policy*

Education and Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent*

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. The base pay range in Illinois for this position, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable, is:


Broadband Technician I - $18.00- $20.00per hour
