Are you a skilled engineer looking for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking a talented Building Automation Systems Engineer with a HVAC background to join our clients team in MA! In this role, you will design, configure, and operate complex building control systems, including fire, security, and low voltage control sub-systems. You will develop and test software programs, coordinate the creation of necessary drawings, and provide training to the owner/operator on the building control system. APPLY NOW

responsibilities:

• Utilize general direction to design, configure, and operate complete building control systems, including low voltage control sub-systems such as lighting, nurse call, and data networks, to meet project requirements

• Experience writing programs for HVAC controls systems

• Background with PLC (function block diagrams and sequential function charts) and BACnet

• Ensure the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of designs, being accountable to field teams

• Develop complex software programs, and commission and troubleshoot systems to ensure proper operations

• Communicate design and operation details with customers, consultants, field installation team, and subcontractors through detailed information and submittals

• Design flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics as required for technically complex building control systems

• Coordinate the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation, and select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned projects

• Assist in loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers and validate complete system functionality to ensure proper operation

• Provide field change information for the creation of as-built drawings and software, and keep management and customers informed of job progress and issues

• Perform site-specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system and participate in release meeting with project field team

• Use value engineering to provide cost-effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction and adhere to safety standards with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
