Role: Business Continuity Manager
Client: DOD-Aerospace
Location: Remote
Duration: 6-month contract w/ possible extension
Hourly Rate: $50-55/hr (W2, non-benefited)

Position Description:
Business Continuity Management (BCM) interacts with every function within our organization. In this position, an individual will learn the importance of operational resilience this governance position and how it supports both BCM Policy and the Operational Assurance Statement mission(s). In this position, you will have the opportunity to leverage and increase your skills in risk management, project management, and metrics creation/management/impact analysis.

Required Skills:

• Understand / Practical Experience with Project Management KPIs to achieve Operational Excellence
• Basic Understanding of Risk Assessment / Risk Mitigation /Impact Analysis / Lessons Learned
• SharePoint Knowledge / User proficiency to practice file management / sharing
• Software Proficiency: Office Products, Project Management metrics tools a plus
• Possess project management skills (project scope definition and planning, through delivery) and the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities, to deliver on time and on/under budget

Skills Preferred

• Deploy good project management processes and use of required tools; demonstrate ability to assess project needs and convey strategic purpose for assigned initiatives
• Experience incompliance organization; e.g. adhering to Policy / KPIs / Business Recovery Strategy / Plans
• Understand the After Action Review Process / Lessons Learned related to BCM
• Ability to participate and eventually lead BCM Testing / Drills - participating in targeted testing initiatives to mature functions / sites
• Experience with Business Site Incident Tracking, Trends, Impact Analysis
• Understand and conduct Business Impact Analysis for critical software / critical functions
• Perform Risk Analysis / incorporating mitigation strategy into BCM plans; ability to identify, clarify and resolve business continuity / recovery issues and prepare for viable risks

Required Experience & Education:
Bachelor\'s and/or Master\'s in related communication, project management, engineering or similar discipline; plus a minimum of 5 years\' experience
