Job Description


If you are adept at grasping and translating technical ideas, enjoy pooling resources with multiple teams, and have experience in the US Military, US Department of Defense, or Aerospace & Defense industries, we may have the perfect role for you! As a Business Development Manager II, you\'ll meet with customers, facilitate new business opportunities, and develop and execute capture strategies. You\'ll oversee market assessment, monitor market activity, identify customer needs, and provide assistance for new product development planning activities. Your duties will also include assessing program opportunities against target market, core proficiency, revenue potential, company ability, and projected business forecasts.

As a Business Development Manager II, you will define and analyze critical new business development opportunities associated with Joint DoD, Federal Government, and international rotary wing customers; develop and execute capture/growth strategies; and influence stakeholders and customers on win strategies. You\'ll drive all capture and BD lifecycle opportunities and develop foundations for the win strategy and technical approach for each new product development/planning activity that directly relates to the needs, issues and challenges of the customer. Your duties will also include staying current on market trends, key customer budgets, and future customer needs through independent research, and provide analysis on competitive RFPs to understand customer requirements.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains \xe2\x80\x93 air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in a related field of study
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education * Understanding of US Department of Defense Military programs or Civil Space services, and acquisition procedure
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and operations concepts and interpret, translate, and explain detailed technical ideas to technical and non-technical audience
  • Experience with technical marketing, proposal development, and program management or engineering design
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred:
  • Experience with U.S. Government export of Department of Defense technology
  • Rotary wing aviation operational experience (pilot, crew, maintenance, etc)
  • An active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is preferred.
