The Role:As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in growing our territory of customers throughout Southern California. You will prospect and establish relationships with convenience and small grocery store owners with the ultimate goal of converting them to customers. We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic, have a no fear attitude, and share our hunger to serve customers.   • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to persuasively pitch our service and adapt the pitch to customer needs.
  • Prior route sales and/or food/grocery sales experience
  • Must maintain a valid Drivers License and automobile insurance coverage per the Companys specified requirements
  • Must be punctual and have reliable automobile transportation
  • Must be able to lift products from 20lb to 35lb on a regular basis
Responsibilities:
  • Cold call store owners with the goal of securing a meeting with the buyer and pitching our service
  • Pitch the appeal of our service in the pursuit of securing the gratifying first and second orders
  • Keep track of visits and calls and follow up with customers as promised
  • Communicate important customer feedback and market insights about our product assortment, pricing, and service with team members
  • Spread the word about Mercaso far and wide, your future customers will thank you for doing so!
