As a Business Engagement Specialist,

you would be responsible for helping participants secure and maintain employment based on their skills and abilities, while educating employers on the services provided by Goodwill's Human Services employment departments. The ideal candidate is skilled in networking, sales, relationship building, and/or job development.

Responsibilities:



Establish and grow a network of area employers who are willing to offer employment and internship opportunities to program participants. Educate employers regarding the various employment services offered by Goodwill. Maintain placement numbers in accordance to established goals and objectives as designated. Attend community job fairs, business functions, and local chamber of commerce meetings to market Goodwill employment services. Collaborate with Employment Specialist and other Team Members to assess caseloads and determine appropriate job sites for participants. Document monthly job placement/retention reports for departmental statistics. Accompany participants to job interviews and provide guidance on proper interviewing techniques. Follow up with employers after job placements to inquire about progress of participant and ensure employer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including: CARF standards and HIPPA compliance. Provide transportation for program participants to and from worksites as needed.

Position Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, psychology or related field and 1 year of experience in job development, sales, marketing, or vocational rehabilitation OR Associate's degree in business, marketing, psychology or related field and 3 years of experience in job development, sales, marketing, or vocational rehabilitation. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work independently, take initiative, follow up, and report in a timely, accurate manner. Satisfactory driving record, current CT driver's license, and access to daily use of a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle for frequent in-state driving.
