The Business Insights Analyst will provide accurate, timely and actionable business insights while helping build a data-driven and analytical culture within the company. They will interact with all departments and levels of the organization and participate in various meetings, projects and training that look to optimize forecasting, planning, and tracking processes, standardize reporting, and provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.

As the Business Insights Analyst, you will:

  • Partner with operations and other stakeholders in preparation of weekly and monthly financial packages, dashboards, and reporting of key performance metrics
  • Analyze internal and external data to derive business insights that can improve outcomes
  • Assist in the standardization of reporting, KPI\'s, and data structures
  • Facilitate data gathering for new analytical or systems initiatives
  • Assist in various ad hoc projects as they arise, including changes to sourcing/supply chain, new sales channels, menu innovation, and promotional effectiveness
  • Work with partners to continually improve processes and reduce non-value add activities
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly KPI reporting and with attention to detail and comprehensive understanding of the results being reported
  • Prepare regular financial reports for distribution to all levels of the organization, the board of directors, and external stakeholders
  • Create, Maintain, and improve financial models/analysis to analyze results and trends of stores and Central Kitchens
  • Work in collaboration with other functions within the organization to analyze business needs and model business cases / ROIs, including but not limited to real estate, marketing, menu changes, price changes, promotional activities, operational initiatives, manufacturing process changes, and technology implementations
  • Assist in various ad hoc projects as they arise
Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, or related quantitative field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting and / or accounting, multi-unit experience, restaurant industry preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including creating and analyzing models
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Strong problem solving and mathematical skills

  • Solid understanding of financial statement analysis, statistical analysis, corporate finance and financial modeling
  • Knowledge of General Ledger (GL) bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
