Business Litigation AttorneyCareer Consulting Partners has teamed up with a reputable law firm that specializes in intricate cases of Business Litigation. We are in search of a skilled attorney who has 3 - 8 years of litigation experience. Our law firm is unique in that our lawyers handle both transactional and litigation work, which is advantageous for individuals seeking to establish a client base. We defend and prosecute cases in Business, Real Estate, Commercial &ampamp Construction Law. Our cases are not repetitive and no two cases are the same. This is a great opportunity to grow if you are seeking a challenging practice and if you are a seasoned litigator this is an opportunity to handle cases in the 8-figure range.However, it is important to note that this role will primarily involve litigation, accounting for approximately 80-85% of the workload. Our diverse practice, which is not cookie-cutter or focused on insurance defense, is currently situated in Torrance, in the South Bay. One-on-one client experience is highly valued, as we cater to clients, companies, and corporations that expect high standards who choose to work with our firm. We offer a team-oriented environment and are seeking an individual who desires substantial hands-on experience in a setting that fosters growth in the legal field. The ideal candidate should have experience working with small firms and be interested in developing a compatible practice, potentially leading to a partnership in our firm. However, please keep in mind that we do not have the resources of a large firm to offer.In-DepthThe firm has successfully prosecuted and defended claims as diverse business formation, start-ups, new businesses, construction litigation (breach of contract, construction defects, delay claims, payment disputes, mechanics liens, partnership disputes, shareholder rights, business/commercial litigation (contract negotiations, business formations, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, employment law), Real Estate Litigation (landowner liability, quiet title, wrongful foreclosure, easement disputes, boundary disputes, landlord-tenant litigation, real estate brokerage and related claims and disputes, etc.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop strategies that align with the client\xe2\x80\x99s goals and positive outcome
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court
• Take and defend Depositions
• Attend Mediations/Arbitration/Trial experience (Second Chair OK)
• Preparing Discovery (written), propounding, and responding
• Law and Motion, research and writing
• Preparing cases for trial

REQUIREMENTS

• Admission in good standing with the California State Bar
• Graduate from ABA-accredited law school
• 3 - 8 years of litigation experience in a private law firm
• Ability to work in our Torrance office
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong capacity to conceptualize and apply legal theories and strategy
• Possess a strong work ethic
• Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task, and work as a team member in a collaborative office environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills Confident but not cocky Aggressive but not abrasive
• Motivation \xe2\x80\x93 willing to work long hours, weekends, etc. when needed, particularly when preparing for trial and while on trial

• Medical and Profit-Sharing Plan
• Billable: 1600
• Competitive compensation based on the level of experience (Base salary + Bonus) | $120,000 - $210,000 (Base)
