Job Description
The CAD Designer/Technician performs all levels of various civil engineering designs including computer CAD operations. This position plays a core role in the design/drafting production efforts of the firm\xe2\x80\x99s professional consulting services. Additional essential job functions may include preparation of:
- Preparation/drafting of site development designs for development of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
- Water & Sewer design, including layouts and profiles
- Preliminary subdivision plans and zoning site plans
- Erosion & sediment control details, perimeter controls, sediment trap design, and earth work volumes (borrow & spoil material)
- Site grading design; parking design; site layout design; and paving design
- Proposed and existing drainage divides; hydrologic mapping
- Landscape design
- Marketing exhibits
- Must be proficient in Microstation and/or AutoCAD
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; advanced education or training/certifications preferred
- Experience with design and/or drafting land development plans preferred, but not required.
