:OverviewExciting opportunity to be part of our collaborative, engaged rehab team in Edina! Southdale Place offers multiple outpatient rehab services and this position will join a team of phenomenal lymphedema therapists. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking for mentorship, or for a seasoned therapist, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving lymphedema rehab care. In collaboration with patients and families, the lymphedema therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.

  • FTE 0.01, casual position.
  • Schedule: We are looking for regular coverage on Wednesdays, with potential for growing into full-time in 2025!

Responsibilities The Lymphedema Therapist partners with the patient and family while performing the Evaluation/Re-evaluationGathers pertinent dataPerforms examinationDetermines treatment diagnosisDevelops an individualized plan of care through collaboration with the patient and familyAnalyzes data to identify needs and potential risksDetermines prognosis for recoveryEstablishes individualized goals with patient and/or caregiverIndividualizes plan of care considering developmental level and cultural differencesImplements and modifies plan of care based on reassessment and patient responseCoordinates care and communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team for all aspects of patient careEstablishes appropriate discharge planPartners with patients and families to provide skilled interventionImplements plan of careAlters treatment/plan of care to reflect change in patient status and response to treatmentAssesses patient and/or caregiver learning needs and provides appropriate educationDocumentation/BillingUses acceptable medical terminologyFollows professional practice standardsCompletes documentation in a timely manner per department standardsComplies with department billing standardsProfessional ExpectationsPrioritizes tasks and patient care for effective time managementUnderstands and follows professional licensure/certification requirementsDirects team members and/or supervises students as designatedPursues personal and professional development to support clinical best practiceSupervises and directs appropriate member of rehab teamDelegates tasks appropriately to assistants/clerks/aides/transporters/extendersProductivityMeets or exceeds departmental standards for productivityQuality ImprovementIdentifies opportunities for process /quality improvementParticipates in and supports entity/system initiatives
QualificationsRequiredOccupational Therapy (OT) licensure in the State of MinnesotaANDTraining and Certification in Complete Decongestive Therapy, examples: Guenter Klose (Lemer Lymphedema Services), Chikly, Casley-Smith, Vodder, Norton School of Lymphatic studies etc.ANDLymphedema Association of North America Certification (LANA) or in processAND Basic Life Support CertificationPreferredAdvanced Degree in PT or OT1+year experienceLANA Certification
