Job Overview:

GD Resources is seeking a qualified Catholic Religious Education Coordinator to support the Chaplain Corps Team at Buckley Space Force Base. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the Catholic Religious Education (RE) program for children, adults, and single service members residing in dorms. This includes religious instruction, sacramental preparation, retreats, and community activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and oversee a comprehensive Catholic Religious Education program for children, youth, and adults. Organize and lead sacramental preparation classes (baptism, confirmation, RCIA, marriage preparation, etc.). Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, teachers, and aides for the RE program. Ensure compliance with Air Force Chaplain Corps policies and directives. Maintain accurate registration, attendance records, and sacramental records. Coordinate and publicize a calendar of events, ensuring alignment with Chapel activities. Work closely with the Chaplain Corps leadership, Catholic Priest, and other staff. Ensure facilities and supplies are prepared for all Catholic RE programs. Develop and manage the RE budget in coordination with the Delta Chaplain. Attend staff and Catholic Parish Council meetings as required. Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and adherence to all base regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Certification or ordination through the Archdiocese for Military Services. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in religious education or youth ministry. Previous experience as a Catholic Religious Education Coordinator preferred. Strong knowledge of Catholic faith, liturgy, and traditions. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a pluralistic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must pass a background check in accordance with DoD and Air Force requirements. Must be fluent in verbal and written English. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.

Additional Information:

The contractor must undergo a National Accreditation Check for base network access. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating substitutes in case of absence. Compensation details and contract duration will be provided upon selection.
