Central SchedulerDepartment: Primary CareProgram: Primary CareReports to: Medical Office SupervisorEmployment Status: Full-TimeFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSchedule: 40 Hours/52 WeeksPreference: TERO Ordinance 2017-01, P.L. 93-638Job SummaryThe Central Scheduler is responsible for computer appointment scheduling for all departments with Dena'ina Wellness Center and updating patient personal information and insurance information in the computer. The central scheduling team works with the clinic staff to optimize the providers' ability to serve un'ina.Essential Functions

  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for Primary Care
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for Behavioral Health
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for Physical Therapy
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for Dental
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for Medical Nutrition Therapy
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for Pharmacist
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for Optometry
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for Laboratory/Imaging
  • Ensures compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies and TERO ordinance

  • Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

QualificationsEducation
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience
  • One year (1) of Medical Office experience
  • One year (1) of Customer Service experience
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (HER) preferred
Preferred
  • Knowledge and experience working with cultural diversities
License/Certification
  • Must have a valid Alaska State driver's license and must remain insurable under the Tribe's policy, or obtain within 90 days of hire, or, with approval of the hiring manager, sign a *Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in lieu of having a driver's license to perform the required duties of the position (If Applicable)
