Early intervention for work related discomfort. Assess risk of injury and mitigate with job coaching and biomechanics training as applicable.
Identify employees who may require biomechanics intervention and training at job stations; e.g., on warehouse floor. Perform ergonomic evaluation and biomechanics coaching, as indicated. Observe proper lifting and provide job coaching as needed (Manager may schedule or on-call as available). Track progress and offer tailored assistance based on progression.
Communicate with company\'s panel of providers regarding employees\' care.
Communicate with adjustors on active workers\' compensation claims and work with in-house absence management team and legal as appropriate, to provide the information requested.
Lead pre-shift and driver stretch break programs; will lead multiple shifts so full population is touched.
Identify customer health education needs through targeted health assessment activities.
Collaborate with customers to establish health improvement plans, set personalized evidence-based goals, and support customers in achieving those goals.
Empower customers to become an active participant in their own health outcomes, supporting self-care implementation and overall wellness promotion.
Assist customer in overcoming barriers to better health.
Act as onsite Wellness Champion: Lead and support a variety of health and wellness promotional activities, such as group coaching, wellness committee facilitation and/or challenges, and health related seminars.
Plan and implement programs and events in conjunction with national programs and events including onsite events.
Act as onsite Benefits Champion: Participate in monthly benefits training program to better triage employee to the right resources and services, such as connecting employees to other services including tobacco cessation, nutrition counseling, etc.
Proactively create a culture of personal health and responsibility through the development, distribution, delivery and posting of educational materials utilizing available distribution/posting resources.
Additional health related support as needed (For example, with the outbreak of COVID-19, assisted with the implementation of the health and safety protocols, collected vaccination information, supply inventory and more.
Provide onsite face-to-face customer coaching and support
What we expect from you :
Bilingual Spanish/English language proficiency a plus
Bachelor\'s degree in athletic training
Certification as an athletic trainer by the Board of Certification
Licensed by the State in which practice occurs, as required by State law.
Current BLS/CPR Certification
Effective written and oral communication skills with individuals as well as group settings
Able to focus, organize and prioritize delivery of services
Ability to work without direct supervision
Comfortable in the delivery of service in various work environments such as manufacturing, warehousing, office and possibly outdoors.
High energy level, with dynamic presentation skills is required.
Positive role model in demonstrating healthy behaviors
Passion for health improvement
Ability to proactively collaborate professionally with the client and other matrix partners.
Understand and own a variety of clinical targets and outcome measurements. Develop action plans that drive value for the customers and clients.
Proven administrative abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to conduct online research.

This Injury Prevention Specialist , will be based in an employer-based setting, onsite in Grand Prairie, TX.
