JOB SUMMARY

The Certified Nursing Assistant partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care.

The Transitional Rehabilitation Unit occupies the second floor of d\'Youville Pavilion. This 42-bed unit provides short-term, skilled nursing and rehab services to patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other illnesses or injuries of a short-term nature where a rehab approach might be beneficial. Nursing services often include IV therapy, wound care and geriatric assessment and management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Graduate of Maine State Board approved CNA course

Valid on the State of Maine CNA registry

Experience:

1-3 years previous CNA experience preferred

Will consider new CNA\'s with relevant work experience

Other Skills Required:

Medical terminology preferred

Strong teamwork and communication skills required.

The ability to work well within a team of other care providers

Flexibility required to coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days per week

Flexibility to float to other units as needed
