Summary of Job Duties: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the direct supervision of licensed nurses or medical providers to administer direct patient care and assist with the flow of patients in the GYN/women\'s clinic. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to obtaining patient history, vitals and other screening procedures to prepare patients for exams and procedures, assisting medical providers, obtaining specimens/performing point of care laboratory tests, and other duties as assigned.
Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
At please six months of experience providing personal care to patients in a facility, home, or private services organization or working in a direct customer service role.
Certification, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant or eligible to become certified within six months of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical Assistant training
Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant
At least one year of experience in gynecological health
Outpatient clinic experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Proficient skills with obtaining vital signs including: manual blood pressure readings, obtaining patient history, and navigating electronic medical records
Must have effective communication skills and be able to function as a member of a team
Ability to assist medical providers with office procedures
Ability to perform CLIA waived lab tests
