CHIEF METEOROLOGIST

WISH-TV/WNDY located in Indianapolis, IN has an immediate opening for an experienced multi-platform, innovative Chief Meteorologist. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience as a broadcast Meteorologist, prior Chief experience a plus. You will lead a team of six meteorologists, including a digital producer. WISH- TV has one of the largest newsrooms in the Midwest and produces and airs over 84 hours of live local news and entertainment programming per week in DMA rank #25.

Key skills:

Expertise with Baron Lynx, Baron Traffic and Baron Mobil App

Knowledge of Baron Hand Tracker including Telestrator

Experience with Augmented Reality Graphics

Experience with I-News and Avid a plus

Expert user of social media including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, TwitterX

Facebook live via OBS experience a plus

Experience with WordPress a plus

Education & Experience:

Meteorology degree

Minimum 5 years multi-platform broadcast meteorology experience
