Description
The City of West Allis is in search of an experienced customer service professional to fill the City Clerk Customer Service Specialist role. This person will play a vital role in connecting the City to the community and providing efficient, accurate, and friendly services. In this role, the person will work with the public directly in the Customer Service Center and work with various departments internally. Customer service-related tasks include answering telephone calls, processing and receipting payments for items like water bills, property taxes, and licenses, maintaining departmental records, and more. The person will also assist with tasks related to elections (voter registration, absentee voting, election software), legislation (creating and distributing agendas, transcribing minutes, assisting in the creation and administration of files), and aid in the process of licenses and permits under the City Clerk\'s purview.
The role requires being well-versed in elections, legislation, and licenses and permits to effectively support the City Clerk and ensure the smooth operation of the Clerk\'s Office. Additionally, the person in this role will be a team player, an effective communicator, adaptable to varied job duties, and possess a high level of emotional intelligence and patience. Experience with customer service and city operations is required.
