THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR CLASSROOM AIDE THE SCHEDULE: This full-time teacher assistant position with our human services nonprofit works regular business hours. YOUR ROLE: As Classroom Aide with the Kessler Center, you work closely with classroom teachers, assisting in educational programming, and caring for students\' needs. Providing supervision, presenting lessons, and helping train other assistants are part of your daily routine. Your creativity is evident as you develop instructional materials, and your compassion is essential when supporting students with behavioral challenges. You ensure the implementation of individual plans and maintain a safe, clean learning environment. Beyond the classroom, you organize extracurricular activities and community-based programs. • Current and valid NYSED certification as a Teacher Assistant or Teacher
• Associate degree or (1) year of experience working with children with disabilities
• Valid driver\'s license with reliable transportation

In addition, The Kessler Center has advanced expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorders and working with children with developmental disabilities who struggle with behavioral challenges.
