We are seeking a Marine Detailer to join our team in Southwest Harbor, ME. The Marine Detailer cleans, buffs, and polishes boat interiors in preparation of delivery to a customers and prior to winter storage. A Detailer may perform some paint and varnish tasks as needed. A Detailer performs quality check on condition of boat prior to customer delivery.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and details boats
• Vacuum interior to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner; pump bilge.
• Using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices treats areas to remove dust, dirt, grease, and grime.
• Understanding of various cleaning agents for use on specific boat parts.
• Perform fall inventory and clean boats prior to winter storage.
• Installs and dismantles Bimini, dodger, cushions, curtains
• Set up boat for summer delivery and packs for winter storage.
• Reports problems to other departments for repair.
• Understand billing process and materials charges and can utilize company computer system.
• May have heavy contact with customers, requiring diplomacy and pleasant attitude.
• Understands and performs all work to Hinckley quality standards
• Performs other related duties as necessary

• High School diploma or General Equivalency (GED) required
• Minimum 2-3 years Boat or Car Detailing experience
• Marine or automotive industry experience preferred
