CACI/Company 32 is seeking a Systems Engineer to support our Makalu contract. If you are interested and passionate about working as part of a modern, fast-paced agile software development team, then this opportunity is for you!
On team Makalu, systems engineers are an integral part of the development team. Systems engineers are expected to be flexible and adaptive to supporting the needs of the program. Responsibilities include user support, testing, troubleshooting, system monitoring, coordination with various data providers, training, and documentation. Additionally, the systems engineering team is encouraged to work closely with the development team to influence system architecture, feature design, security integration, as well as being able to obtain various metrics as requested by the customer.
Duties include but are not limited to:
General understanding of dataflow, data storage, and data processing technologies
Tracking, documenting, and creating requirements based on system and user needs
User Support via chat, phone, or user tickets
Testing new capabilities as well as regression testing as needed
Monitoring System health via dashboards
Program technical documentation
Contribute to a positive and upbeat team atmosphere
Support to development team via customer interaction, data provider interaction, feature/architecture design input and suggestions
Initial system troubleshooting
Required Qualifications:
An active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
Bachelor\'s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, or related field
5+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ years without related degree)
Familiarity working in Linux Operating Systems
Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
Understanding of system engineering in development and operational environment
Time management skills
Independent decision-making capability
Focus on customer service
Strong Communication skills
Familiarity with developing requirements, and documentation
Enthusiastic & energetic performer able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, & high visibility environment
Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal oversight
Team player incorporating a team based success philosophy
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Current Security+ and/or CISSP Certification (with 3 months of hire)
Desired Qualifications:
Certification and/or experience with Amazon Web Services
Understanding of network technologies
Familiarity with Elasticsearch and/or Postgres

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $74,600-$156,700. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
