Description:
\xc2\xb7 Responsible for screening incoming phone calls; recording and transmitting messages to the appropriate provider or staff member.
\xc2\xb7 Faxing clinic communication as directed.
\xc2\xb7 Receiving orders from medical records and working with providers to ensure completion.
\xc2\xb7 Acts as liaison between clinic staff, providers and participants and other disciplines.
\xc2\xb7 Maintains clinic inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs, ordering supplies and verify receipt of placed orders.
\xc2\xb7 Assists Clinic Operations Manager, providers and other clinic staff with support tasks.
\xc2\xb7 Preparation of DME and incontinence orders for licensed clinic staff per their direction.
\xc2\xb7 Preparation of daily lab requisitions.
\xc2\xb7 Obtain needed logs, orders and other medical records for providers and other IDT staff.
\xc2\xb7 Update and maintain Risk Assessment Tool, other organizational tools and tracking spreadsheets for clinic staff and providers.
\xc2\xb7 Communicates with contracted providers as appropriate.
\xc2\xb7 Facilitates in house external provider appointments.
\xc2\xb7 Will work in conjunction with the Medical Records Clerk and Internal Scheduler as needed.
\xc2\xb7 Performs other assignments as directed by supervisor.
PM20 Requirements:
Education: Completion of a 12th grade education or GED equivalent. Related Associates or Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
Experience: High-level computer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Prefer someone with at least one year\'s experience in working with the frail and elderly. Experience in a medical clerical position preferred.
Number and Type of Employees Supervised (optional): None.
Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Valid MI driver\'s license preferred.
Special Training: Only acts within the scope of his or her authority to practice. Meet a standardized set of orientation and/or individual competencies for the specific position description established by PACE of Southwest Michigan and approved by CMS before working independently.
Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact.
Specific Requirements and Considerations: May be subject to exposure of infectious wastes, diseases, conditions or hazardous chemicals, etc., including potential exposure to TB, AIDS, and/or Hepatitis B.
