Job summary: The Clinical Manager (CM) will provide oversight for programming within Set Free\xe2\x80\x99s Crisis residential program. The CM will assist in offering high quality of care clients by creating an environment which is safe, respectful, and positive. Qualifications: Required:
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field
Chemical Dependency Counselor II certification or QAP equivalent or the ability to acquire CDC II or QAP equivalent within three (3) years of date of hire
Demonstrated track record of effectively supervising staff
Experience in:
Substance Abuse or Mental Health field
Crisis intervention
Delivering direct therapeutic services
Treatment planning and treatment team participation
Case management
Ability to:
Pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background check
Qualify for SFA\xe2\x80\x99s commercial automobile insurance
Preferred:
Licensor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
Skills required:
Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
Punctuality and consist reliability in reporting to work
Understanding of being trauma informed and awareness of cultural differences
The ability to:
Lead a team of professional staff
Represent the mission and values of Set Free Alaska to the staff and community
Make leadership decisions within the scope of responsibilities as set forth in Set Free Alaska\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures
Build rapport with clients and staff while maintaining professional boundaries
Maintain confidentiality and treat everyone with dignity and respect
Manage situations that cause intense distress and work to ensure the safety and well-being of themselves and other staff
Proficient computer skills and fluid use of electronic communication tools
Job responsibilities:
Analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate and supervise clinical programming for residential services in accordance with SFA policies, procedures and budget
Hire, supervise and evaluate clinical staff including, but not limited to: performance monitoring, assistance in developing growth goals, training
Participate as an active and effective member of the SFA leadership team
Facilitate clinical treatment team meetings and treatment reviews of client progress every thirty days per Set Free Alaska\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures and CARF standards
Provide intervention services telephonically or in person during scheduled work hours, and after hours when scheduled in the on-call rotation
Oversee recommendations on discharges for clients ensuring decisions are based on progress/lack of progress and treatment needs. Appropriate referral for continued care or maintenance will be made at each discharge
Prepare and conduct individual, and group, counseling sessions with client centered interventions to meet the needs, goals and individual strengths and limitations of each client using SFA approved treatment curricula
Complete timely documentation for each therapeutic intervention and treatment plan review. All documentation is to comply with overseeing state or federal guidelines. Additional reports and request may be made from the management
