Position Requirements:

• Up to a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
• Benefits Eligible
• 40 Hours a Week

• 7:00am - 5:30pm
• Call Duties (Weekends/Holidays)

• Weekend Saturday 7:00am until Monday 7:00am

• One call weekend shift (7 - 8 weekends rotation schedule)
• One Holiday per year (7am-7am)
• One weeknight per week (5:30pm - 7:00am)
• 45-minute response time

• 1 yr of OR exp. required.
• 2 yrs of RN exp
• BLS required.
• ACLS within 90 days
• Orientation and Training- 6 -12 weeks (Depending on skills)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detailed oriented.

Preferred Experience:

• ACLS & PALS within 90 days of hire (RQI system)
• Critical Care Experience Preferred
• Related Experience in OR, cath lab or other sterile environment preferred
• 2 - 3 yrs. of RN exp.

OverviewSince 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.The Operating Room is made up of 7 General rooms, one Cysto room, and one Minor procedure room. Staffed from 0700 till 1700 Monday-Friday with all other hours and days covered with a Call Crew.
Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeProvides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.Responsibilities * Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.

• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
