Description:

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced EXPERIENCED NURSE MANAGER for SURGICAL SERVICES LINES at Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center of Saint Mary\'s Hospital.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor of Science BSN in Nursing required. A Master of Science in Nursing MSN is preferred.

Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure is required.

Experience: 3 or more years of progressive nursing management experience in a Perioperative, PACU, Operating Room, or Surgical Services Department is required. 5 or more years of combination of Operating Room, Scrub, Circulating, Surgical, PACU, or Peropartive experience between clinical nursing and management is strongly preferred.

Requires the ability to practice utilizing AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses) recommended standards and guidelines

BLS or CPR certification: The current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.

Certified Perioperative Nurse certification: CNOR certification is preferred but not required.

You Will Be Responsible For:

The Operational Manager provides management support to the Director, including coordination of staffing, competency assessment of staff, regulatory oversight, fiscal operations, and annual performance appraisal process. Assists the Director with Performance Improvement activities, unit and patient satisfaction issues, and policy development. Actively promotes an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to the delivery of patient care across the continuum.

Ensures high-quality standards of care and a safe environment in compliance with infection control standards, specialty organizations, DPH, and The Joint Commission standards and recommendations, and assures consistent implementation by all staff.

Demonstrate ability to lead people through change processes and execute an organizational strategic plan to develop and implement long- and short-range goals and strategies.

A track record of effectively partnering and communicating with physicians to achieve objectives and results. Must demonstrate the ability to affect positive medical staff relations while working with highly qualified physicians.
