job summary:
Randstad is currently working with a leading global wholesale food distributor to find a remote Cloud Network Engineer! As a Cloud Network Engineer, you\'ll play a key role in shaping our cloud network landscape. Your responsibilities include crafting reference architectures, setting standards, and engineering solutions with a focus on automation. You\'ll primarily work with AWS, leveraging services like Direct Connect, Private Link, VPC, Elastic Load Balancing, and more. Your expertise will also encompass traditional networking and security technologies to facilitate our Hybrid cloud deployment.

responsibilities:

• Design and execute secure and connected cloud services

• Handle requests for new service implementations

• Build a robust cloud networking environment

• Guarantee the suitable availability of services

• Guide AWS network design to align with platform, product, and security standards

• Automate network configuration and virtual platform management

• Create infrastructure as code tailored to our platforms and products

• Act as a Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) and foster internal network understanding

• Collaborate with cloud engineering and automation teams

• Support products and infrastructure automation alongside the internal DevOps/SRE team

• Draft and maintain technical design specifications to meet project needs

• Document processes for automation developers, network SMEs, and operations staff

• Simplify deployment processes to enhance quality and speed

• Establish and update network standards, ensuring compliance in deployment

• Assess business requirements, identify solutions, and communicate effectively with partners

• Lead major projects, coordinating project interdependencies

• Resolve complex technical problems through expert knowledge

• Provide internal guidance for outage resolution or high-priority incidents

• Lead recovery efforts during system downtimes, coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors

• Integrate new hardware or software features, including new products or services

• Perform other relevant duties as needed
