About the Role:

In this role you will assist with the development and implementation of Azure cloud security architectures for protecting PCI/PII data deployed into various cloud, on-prem, and hybrid systems. The position will directly contribute to the implementation of global security cloud architecture.

• Collaborating with Umpqua\'s Cybersecurity and Compliance teams to develop Umpqua\'s global Cloud security architecture and standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams for security tools, system environments, and cloud operations.
• Evaluate and respond to alerts and events from the security tools, including tuning of tool configuration to minimize false positives, development of event response documentation and processes for Security Operations Center response to follow for event actions, and escalating to appropriate teams for event response.
• Work with the Infrastructure Operations teams in the definition and implementation of security standards and best practices.
• Analyze security alerts and perform investigations, evidence collection, and analysis.
• Coordinate across functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve service disruptions; requires participation in after-hours on-call rotation and after-hours ad-hoc incident resolution.
• Work within a DevOps security model so that security is automated and elastic across all cloud platforms.
• Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
• Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Bank\'s written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
• Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.
• May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
• Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About You:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Information Security preferred.
• 3-5 years of information technology preferred.
• 1-3 years of information/cyber security experience required.
• Proven ability to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical audience.
• Scripting languages like Python, Ruby-on-Rails, JavaScript, building and consuming Application Program Interfaces (APIs)/micro-services
• Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud technologies
• Knowledge of internal audit concepts and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GLBA, etc.).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work though issues and obstacles with minimal guidance and coaching.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Proficient written/verbal communications skills.
• Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, CCSP, CCSK preferred.
• Open to AWS as well.

Our Benefits:

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $84,770.00 to $172,014.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
