Position Description: This is a WEEKEND WARRIOR position 6a-6p Fri/Sat/Sun Work 36, but get paid for 40!!!! As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), you play a vital role in providing routine nursing care while ensuring the accurate and timely administration of medications. You will follow established policies and procedures, working under the guidance of our Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator. Your dedication and attention to detail are essential to maintain the highest standard of resident care. Qualifications: To excel in this role, you must possess:
Current CMA Certification: You must hold a valid certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
Compassion and Patience: CMAs should exhibit patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, along with a willingness to cater to residents at their specific maturity levels.
General Duties: Your responsibilities as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) include:
Assisting in the administration of medications to residents on your assigned unit.
Preparing residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, and other appointments, including transporting residents to and from these activities.
Accurately preparing and administering medications, ensuring they are given to the right patient, at the right time, in the correct dosage, and via the proper route.
Assisting residents with proper hygiene, including bathing, and encouraging self-help measures and activities.
Following infection control procedures as stipulated by our facility\'s policy, particularly when isolation techniques are necessary.
Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation related to the role of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) during every shift.
Presenting a professional image to our residents and their families through your attire, behavior, and communication.
Adhering to our company\'s high standards for addressing and resolving consumer concerns.
Upholding the rights of all residents to ensure their well-being and dignity.
