About the Opportunity:\xe2\x88\x99 Job Title: CNC Machinist\xe2\x88\x99 Pay: $27/Hour\xe2\x88\x99 Location: Minneapolis, MN\xe2\x88\x99 Schedule: 2nd Shift, Mon-Fri 3:30PM-12AM with required O/T as needed.Daily functions: * Machine high quality parts within tolerance requirements using CNC and manual machines.

• Read routing information to determine sequence and method of machining.
• Layout work, partner with Mfg. Engineering related to set up, machining and tooling.
• Performs preventative maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Uses electric and pneumatic hand tools.
• Deburr and hand clean parts.
• Completes necessary QA/Customer documentation.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Lift and move materials using forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane, or jib crane.
• Demonstrates a commitment to Continuous Improvement by identifying opportunities in day-to-day work.
• Performs to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and abides by OSHA and EPA regulations.

Desired qualifications: * 2-year Machining degree or High School degree with a minimum of 3 years equivalent machining experience.

• Ability to read design prints, understand geometric design & tolerancing (GD&T) and surface finish requirements.
• Ability to operate CNC machinery, vertical turret lathes, bore mills, engine, or turret lathes, radial or horizontal drilling machines, external/internal grinders, horizontal boring mills.
• Have knowledge of CNC programming, ability to make basic edits as needed.
• Ability to operate equipment such as key-seaters, broaches, band saws, sanding equipment, grinders post drills, hydraulic press and propane or oxy-acetylene heating equipment.
• Understand carbide tooling, feeds, and speeds for the machining application.
• Ability to be certified in overhead crane, Jib crane and forklift operation.

Physical requirements: * Lifting 50lbs

• Standing for long durations of time
• Use hands and fingers to operate hand tools.
• Routinely lifts and moves objects up to 50 lbs.
• Routinely ascends/descends ladders and stairs.
• Occasionally works at heights or on platforms.
• Occasionally positions self in various works spaces, including low, tight, or confined spaces.
• Routinely remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
• Routinely uses repetitive motions including the wrists, hands, or fingers to operate machinery or tools.
