ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Clark County Administrative Services Department is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Code Enforcement Specialist position. As a member of our team, you will provide code enforcement services to unincorporated Clark County. Code Enforcement Specialists investigate complaints of neighborhood code violations.THIS RECRUITMENT IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 250 APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AND WILL CLOSE WITHOUT NOTICE ONCE THAT NUMBER IS REACHED.This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified applicants to the selection process.
Some positions may be Grant Funded. Grant Funded positions are subject to continuation based on availability of grant funds and the employee will be terminated without right of appeal when such funds are no longer available.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience: Equivalent to completion of two (2) years of full-time college level course work in construction technology, criminal justice, geography, planning, business or a field related to the work, AND two (2) years of full-time experience which has required EITHER explaining, researching or enforcing various codes or regulations. Additional experience as outlined above may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the xe2x80x9cEducationxe2x80x9d and xe2x80x9cWork Experiencexe2x80x9d sections of the application. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
