Overview

Greater Commercial Lending is looking for a Commercial Loan File Servicing Specialist with a passion for supporting business growth, job creation, and improving the quality of life in the communities we serve.

About The Position:

The Commercial Loan File Servicing Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate, onsite original documentation as required by government guaranteeing agencies and loan policy as well as acting as the point of contact for coordinating loan sale packages for good delivery. In addition the specialist also ensures accurate imaging of loan documents to cold storage.

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Monitor intake of original loan documents, identify and track outstanding loans documents, and follow up on exceptions; ensure accurate set up of all loan files for required original document retention. Ensure all loan documentation is accurately imaged to cold storage system.
  • Coordinate, organize and deliver loan documents required for good delivery on loan sale packages.
  • Track, monitor, and manage insurance requirements on all commercial loans (e.g. collateral and life insurance)
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing payoff quotes as well as timely disposition of paid in full files including: applicable collateral release and follow up; paid full file retention in accordance with record retention policies.
  • Provide courteous, knowledgeable and professional customer service through timely response to phone calls and email requests in the general loan servicing inbox.

Preferred Qualifications

Skills

The Loan File Servicing Specialist must have a high level of organizational skills and be detail oriented. The position requires effective communication, resourcefulness, and must be a self starter with initiative.
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial loan documents to support the monitoring and tracking of incoming loan packages; must be able to determine document exceptions to provide follow up measures ensuring all documents are received
  • Ability to coordinate retrieval, distribution and receipt of loan documents (across multiple departments and companies) necessary for loan sale transactions including the packaging of loan documents for good delivery to investors.
  • Solid understanding of insurance requirements for commercial loans and the ability to track and monitor those requirements to ensure collateral is protected.
  • Skilled in payoff processing including an understanding of collateral release processing and retention and archival requirements for paid in full loans
  • Provide courteous, knowledgeable and professional customer service through timely response to phone calls and email requests in the general loan servicing inbox.

Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of your job, you may regularly be required to sit and use a keyboard (including repetitive motions with hands, fingers, arms, etc.). You may also frequently be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, bend, and kneel.
