We want to share the love of Christ through service to others, and have also recently begun a new program that is intended to connect community members with each other around local and personal issues that impact families and communities. **Job Summary:** Forest Park Presbyterian Church (FPPC) is a 100-member church which seeks to be inclusive and reach out to the community with God\xe2\x80\x99s love. We know that professional, concise, relevant and authentic communication will be key in this endeavor. The Communications Coordinator will use passion and creativity to help share our church mission, values and the community events that we offer. Hours vary based on workload. Hourly salary up to 10 hours/week; hybrid of in-person and remote work as needed. **Responsibilities:**
Tell the story of FPPC\xe2\x80\x99s ministry (worship; education; mission; fellowship; etc.) through publications, social media, video
Manage and maintain the FPPC website and social media accounts
Manage and promote announcements and FPPC events through calendar, website platforms and social media
Create and design compelling logos, signage, posters/fliers, digital and print publications and emails as needed
Assist in creating weekly e-newsletter that features the stories and upcoming events of FPPC (as needed)
Communicate regularly with pastor and leadership volunteers to tell the story of our ministries
Occasionally attend events and services to take photographs and videos (as needed) to update social media
Monitor communication campaigns\' effectiveness
**Qualifications:** \xc2\xb7 Associates or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in progress or completed (preferably in Communications, Graphic Design or related field)
Experience with social media, website management, and creative strategic planning (church-related communication experience preferred)
Proficiency in writing and editing
Familiarity with a variety social media, and ability to identify the best platforms for differing FPPC needs.
Proactive self-starter with good organizational skills
Creative, innovative, strategic thinker
Ability to work with flexibility as part of a collegial team
Ability to work with volunteers
Comfort with the unique calling of being a voice for a faith-based organization
Awareness of and adherence to copyright, fair-use, and licensing standards
