This two-year program combines coursework through University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), an accredited online university affiliated with the University of Arizona, with relevant work experience and professional development at the Zurich North America Headquarters location in Schaumburg, IL. Apprentices who successfully complete this two-year program will:

• Work in a paid, benefit-eligible full-time position at Zurich

Zurich North America is offering Complete-a-Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Apprenticeship opportunities in Claims within our TPA Operations team.

As an apprentice at Zurich, you will work and learn alongside professionals and mentors while performing assigned tasks, contributing to team projects and initiatives, and providing support to colleagues.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

• Performs quality and compliance reviews of claims handling work to ensure pre-determined regulatory and / or government agency standards and requirements are met
• Ensures compliance with internal company requirements
• Ensures information provided by insured, agent, and adjuster is accurate and aligns with resource information that can support information provided.
• Identifies and documents internal errors, and inconsistencies; makes corrections as needed.
• Provides feedback and coaching to staff on reviews.
• Identifies possible training issues.
• May act as escalation point for less experienced associates, providing guidance and training as needed.

In addition, responsibilities that are team specific, this role is responsible for the accurate interfacing of detailed claim and financial data from Third Party Administrators (TPAs) handling unbundled Zurich claims to the required Zurich systems. Utilize insurance, financial, regulatory, and technical knowledge to analyze and validate data and identify and monitor trends to assure data quality and adherence to our process and procedural control framework. Our apprentices work and learn under immediate supervision, alongside professionals and mentors.

For specifically assigned TPAs, you will:

• Build relationships with assigned TPA\xe2\x80\x99s
• Complete regulatory requirements and reporting as it pertains to TPA\xe2\x80\x99s
• Hold TPA\xe2\x80\x99s accountable based on TPA agreement
• Complete a series of tasks to onboard new TPA\xe2\x80\x99s in collaboration with internal business units
• Act as a liaison between Claims Technical Oversight and TPA\xe2\x80\x99s

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Business Administration or rising Junior with two years of coursework in Business Administration and no prior experience. Contingent on admittance into University of Arizona Global Campus Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• 2 or more years of work experience and/or leadership role in student activities or community service activities
• Intermediate computer skills, especially Excel
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to multitask and adapt to a changing environment
• Problem solving skills
